To say that I love New York is an understatement. Each time I’ve left there, I feel like I’m leaving the love of my life and I’m leaving a little piece of my heart behind. I’ve been to New York three times and I feel like I haven’t seen more than 30% of it. Here’s a look at a few things I was able to see this time around.
New York, Part Two, December 2015
Waking up to this view was seriously the best thing ever! Saturday we did most of the sight seeing. We visited the Top of the Rock at the Rockefeller Center. Being at the top and overlooking the whole city makes you feel like a tiny little creature in a huge world. We ventured out to see the Brooklyn Bridge in the evening and the view of the skyline is impeccable! We then made our way to see the 9/11 memorial. It was so surreal and heartbreaking. One lady’s name that is etched in the edging of the memorial pool stood out to me.. Sylvia Pio Resta and her unborn child. May she and her baby rest in peace.
New York, Jingle Ball – December 11, 2015
New York!!! This wasn’t my first trip to the big apple, but I’ve been so excited to finally go back. One of my dreams has always been to go to New York during Christmastime. And I’ve always wanted to take a run in Central Park. And now I’ve gotten to do both. I was hoping to catch some snow, but that didn’t happen. But there will be other times I visit so that’s ok.
First thing’s first, on any trip, mimosas!
New York Take 1
My first time going to New York was about two and a half years ago. I was an inexperienced traveler, I didn’t take any worthy pictures and wore hideous outfits. I mean this first picture, just look at me! Hideous! Where was my scarf?! Or my pretty beanie!? Where was my makeup!? And my hair?! What a nightmare.
