As a child I used to watch a movie named Salsa. It was obviously a movie full of salsa dancing, not the best acting and probably totally inappropriate for a child! I grew up dreaming that one day I would make it to Puerto Rico too; and finally I did. I’m so extremely thankful for firsts and adventures!
New York, Part Two, December 2015
Waking up to this view was seriously the best thing ever! Saturday we did most of the sight seeing. We visited the Top of the Rock at the Rockefeller Center. Being at the top and overlooking the whole city makes you feel like a tiny little creature in a huge world. We ventured out to see the Brooklyn Bridge in the evening and the view of the skyline is impeccable! We then made our way to see the 9/11 memorial. It was so surreal and heartbreaking. One lady’s name that is etched in the edging of the memorial pool stood out to me.. Sylvia Pio Resta and her unborn child. May she and her baby rest in peace.
