We visited Old Town San Diego on day two. There were many Dia de los Muertos trinkets everywhere and women and children dancing ballet folklorico in the main square. There are lots of historic sites in here, as many consider it the “birthplace” of California. Many of the buildings were constructed in the 1800’s and I love the adobe and building structures. I love finding old unique doors, and I found one here!
We spent the rest of our day at Balboa Park. To say that the park is huge is an understatement! 1200 acres, 15 museums, gardens, restaurants, gift shops, you name it. For most of the day we walked around and just kind of took in the amazing buildings. We visited the Japanese Gardens and the Museum of Man. The view on the balcony on the top of the Museum of Man was amazing!
