Waking up to this view was seriously the best thing ever! Saturday we did most of the sight seeing. We visited the Top of the Rock at the Rockefeller Center. Being at the top and overlooking the whole city makes you feel like a tiny little creature in a huge world. We ventured out to see the Brooklyn Bridge in the evening and the view of the skyline is impeccable! We then made our way to see the 9/11 memorial. It was so surreal and heartbreaking. One lady’s name that is etched in the edging of the memorial pool stood out to me.. Sylvia Pio Resta and her unborn child. May she and her baby rest in peace.

We went to dinner at a little hole in the wall place in Soho called La Esquina. My sister had seen good reviews on their margaritas so she wanted to try them there. I was still recuperating so there were no margy’s for me that night! I honestly wasn’t a huge fan of the food other than the guacamole and the elote.
We went to a play that evening, The Phantom of the Opera.

Sunday was probably my favorite day! I went for my run in Central Park! I made it to the Jackie O reservoir that was breathtaking. Apparently they renamed the reservoir after her because she frequently ran the trails and her apartment overlooked the park.
After my run, we went to brunch then headed to mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. I wasn’t aware that this church even existed, or that it was a total tourist attraction. I was very glad that we went to mass because the sermon was beautiful and perfect. The architecture of this building is unbelievable. Everything is etched in perfection.
After mass we walked around, checked out all the beautiful architecture, embraced the city. I was really glad that I purchased these Vince Camuto boots before the trip. They were so comfy and literally went with almost everything I wore that weekend. Vince Camuto, Nordstrom
We went to dinner at a small place named Teodora’s. It was the first Italian Restaurant I’d ever been to, so now it’s a must every time I go. They have the most incredible Tagliatelle alla Bolognese!
