This was the first trip I’ve taken where I wasn’t in charge of finding hotels or flights or making itineraries. And I’m not going to lie, it sort of drove me crazy! I’m the type of person that wants to know everything about every little detail. There were a few mishaps but overall it was a great trip!
After this trip I am a little torn about which place I would recommend visiting. I love being in Miami but I really fell in love with Key West. I love the beaches in Miami, and I like getting dressed up to go to fancy lounges & clubs. I love Key West because of it’s simplicity and beauty. There’s so much history there, you can see it and feel it everywhere. The main street, Duval Street, literally offers everything. Most restaurants on the street are remodeled old homes where you can sit outside on the patio or upstairs on a balcony. There are boutiques and shops for everyone. Kids would love all the ice cream and smoothie shops. Further north on the street you can find some fun nightlife. Key West is a place where you don’t have to get all dressed up to go out, unlike Miami. I enjoyed putting on a pair of shorts and sandals each night to go out.
We stayed at Casa Marina, a Waldorf Resort. They have two pools, one specifically for families, and the other for adults only. They have two bars outside, plenty of hammocks out on the beach as well as lounge chairs and day beds. The property also offers jet skis and other water activities right on their beach. The only thing about Key West, is that most of the beach is very rocky. So while there’s tons of beach areas, there are only parts of it where you can actually get into the water.
Two piece off white swimsuit, Antonio Melani, Dillards, Swimsuit is now on sale too guys!
I was nervous about ordering this swimsuit because I found it last minute and didn’t think it would get here on time. This company (J Marie Swimwear) has the best customer service I’ve ever had to deal with and responded super quick to my emails! They shipped out the swimsuit the day I ordered, with a two day priority. Chino II Rose Gold Bikini Top. Chino II Bikini Bottoms. The bottoms are my fav!!
I saw Emily Ratajkowski wear a similar top and fell in love with it! I searched for something that resembled it but couldn’t find anything. So I just made my own. The shorts were $8 Levi’s jeans from a thrift store!

Quote of the trip: “I don’t want to be a mermaid, I want to be King Titan”
