If you were at this game you felt the energy. If you had any friends on SnapChat who went to this game, you probably felt the energy too. I was so excited to go to this game you have no idea! Not only was I going to be sitting 16 rows up from watching the Mexico team but I was going to see the number one player in the world, Lionel Messi! (Who scored the final goal, boo.)
I took my daughter after I made her promise she would have fun and enjoy the game. She’s not too much of a sports fan, so I didn’t want her to be sitting there like a wet blanket.
At&t Stadium was super packed full of fans for both Mexico and Argentina.
Chicharito (Javier Hernandez, aka my boyfriend) scored the first goal at the penalty box. Followed by another from Hector Herrera at the 70th minute. The whole stadium was so pumped that we had a 2-0 lead! Then….. at the 85th minute Sergio Aguero scored for Argentina, followed by Messi’s goal like 4 minutes later. Blah.
Overall, great, edge of our seats type game. The Mexico team plays USA next month at the Rose Bowl, and I’m going to be one very sad, grumpy old lady if I’m not there to watch!
Oh, and we also found the Pope. I guess he likes beer and soccer. My daughter captioned these pictures. She’s a very witty, funny child!
